Happy Halloween! :)
I really love Halloween. Not the evil side, but the cute little side of costumes, candy, and decorating with pumpkins, etc.. It has to be one of my favorite holidays along with Valentine's Day. I'm finding that holidays are so much more fun with little ones around. I finished my goody bags for Jack's Halloween party and I think that they turned out ok. I think that most everyone liked them and they were fairly simple to make. I got the inspiration from these iron-on images made from scrapbook stuff, but really wanted to liven it up by making my own patterns and using materials (felt, ricrac, etc.) instead of just using someone's image. I also added everyone's name to the bag. I filled them with toddler appropriate goodies...teddy grahams, animal crackers, Halloween stickers, fruit snacks, a whacky looking straw and a Halloween cup. Hopefully the bags didn't fall apart before they got home with the kid. LOL.
We went to his Halloween party and it was so nice to see how he interacts with kids that are his own age. We had no idea. He is a ham! We found out that all morning he and his best bud Counsel (sitting to the left of Jack) had discovered that they could crawl under the tables and pretend for it to be a tunnel. Turns out that they would crawl through and at the end just die with laughter. Hey, at least he's having fun and not waiting at the door for me! The party was hilarious as I think that every child in the room had orange fingers from the Cheetos. What is it about Cheetos? My Mom has got Jack hooked on them. I would venture to say that he will get them from her tonight when he Trick or Treats at my parent's house. Anyway, here's a pic of the party in calm mode. And, might I add that calm mode doesn't last long with these little guys.
Aren't they adorable? Well, I'm off to get some scrapbook projects done. Hope you all are enjoying your kits (or will be very soon). Have a safe Halloween!
