Very Quick March Kit Add-On!!!!!!

OK, folks.  Here's the deal.  I've been doing Spring cleaning and I am replenishing my class kits (the supplies that we use in classes to teach) for next year.  In other words, all of the stuff in there now (stamps, ink pads, etc.) will be replaced with newer items.  Sooooo, I've got several class kits that are looking for good homes.  I will pass them along to you for $7.50 each if you want your hands on one.  They will include at least two wooden stamps (one is a row of tags and the other is a diamond pattern), ink pads and more.  All are used so don't be expecting a dazzling new something.  However, all are in very good shape and just need a good cleaning.  My student's are usually pretty good with the supplies that we have for them to use.  If you are interested, please email us ASAP as we can include these in with your March shipment if you so desire.  The shipments will all be out of the building by Friday afternoon.

Also, I hope to announce the first of our Design Team winners tonight after I get all of her information. :)

March Kit Pictures :)

So, it has been a long month as far as waiting on kit supplies!  Holy moly.  I HATE it when orders get messed up and the delay that it causes us and you, our customer.  I certainly hope that the kit is worth the wait!  The papers are perfect for Spring.  I think that there is something for everyone in this kit as the papers have totally different opposite sides.  So, if you don't like the floral on one side, you may love the polka dots or stripes on the other!  I actually got motivated to scrapbook last night and hope to get some stuff going tonight.  By the way, if you sent an email to reserve any of this month's kits then you should have received an email back with a link for payment.  We will hold kits for five days and then open them to the general public.  The March Add-On kit (oh, my) has been a HUGE success.  I found out from Scenic Route yesterday that we are getting the last of the Office acrylic stamps until they restock in a few weeks or so.  Sooooo, if you are sitting on the fence about this one I have one remaining in stock (unless some reserved ones do not get purchased).

Also, before I share the kit pictures, I have already chosen one new Design Team member.  I'll let you know who once I contact her!  So, happy Friday and hope you all have a wonderful Easter weekend.  Our weekend is filled with three birthday parties, two Easter dinners, church, egg hunt, egg dying...jam packed!   Hope the Easter bunny finds his way to your house!

Jack's Easter Party

I thought that I would post some fun pics from Jack's Easter party yesterday at Mother's Morning Out.  Jack is a very serious child and I was so happy to see that he is finally coming out of his shell and loosening up a bit by smiling more and actually saying all kinds of things here lately, including his imitation of his Daddy snoring (hilarious!).  Love the smile that he had on his face all day yesterday after hunting eggs on the playground.  He wanted his Pappy (my Dad) to hide the eggs for him over and over after we left the party.  He's turning into such a ham (as is Eli!) and I think that I'm going to have my work cut out for me with these two.  Enjoy...

**EDITED: March Kit and Add-On Kit

In my haste of trying to post last night I forgot to show you all these gosh darn cute little things that are also in the March Main kit:
Calendar_tags

They are calendar tags and you will be receiving three or four of them in each kit.  Aren't they just the cutest??!!  They also match the Scenic Route paper PERFECTLY.  Can you just imagine the endless possibilities?  They are from my new friend Kelly's Etsy shop.  Be sure to check out her other stuff (although you may see it in upcoming kits, too) as she is uber talented and super easy to work with!  Thanks, Kelly!

Yes, it has been a while.  We are just crazy around here.  Eli is going to be crawling VERY, VERY soon, probably within a week I would guess.  I can only begin to imagine the madness that will begin in our household.  We are starting back to church tomorrow and I have to admit that I can't wait.  We actually took the day off from school on Friday as life around here has been so crazy and the weather wasn't much better.  It was kind of a nice day to just enjoy a warm Starbuck's and I actually got motivated to drive around and look at houses.  I'm getting the itch...uh-oh (as Jack would say).

I have been knee-deep in trying to clear up our shipment with Scenic Route.  All items are almost here and ready to ship to you...FINALLY!  I'm going to give you all a list of the contents for the kits just so you'll know what is included and I'll post the pic as soon as I can.  Here is the list for the March Monthly Kit.  Below that you will see the contents of the March Add-On Kit.  I will try to have them up for ordering by late tomorrow (Sunday).  However, if you just can't wait that long then email us and we'll get you all set up for delivery.

March Kit and Other News

Wow.   Can you believe that it is already March??!!!  I have a sweet March kit lined up for you all.  Can you say new Scenic Route?  Yep, you guys always seem to love Scenic Route so we've got an awesome kit with lot's of paper for you this month.  Oh, and not to mention the brand spanking new and adorable tabbed chipboard albums, cute new chipboard shapes and the add-on this month includes some of the newly released Scenic Route medium acrylic stamps.  So, you add all of that to some other great little embellies and that is the March kit.  I will try to post some pics very soon.  We are having to wait on one product to be restocked and then we'll be set to go.  Thanks to all of you who have stuck with us during the business transition.  We are still working to accommodate all of our orders in a timely manner.  However, here lately it seems that we are shipping later in the month than earlier.  Hopefully y'all aren't stalking the postman too terribly bad!  LOL.

The weather here today was just perfect!  A balmy 55 degrees and of course if you know me I enjoyed it by being out on the tennis court for my weekly league tennis match.  It is getting serious now.  My team is in the lead and hoping to make it to the state finals in May.  We've only got three matches left so wish us luck!!!

On the kiddo front, Jack is having more conversations with us here lately.  Enjoy...

In the car with Daddy this afternoon:
Sean happens to look in the rear-view mirror and notices that Jack has his hands over his little ears.
Sean says, "Jack, is the movie too loud?
Jack's reply, "Yeah!"
This is good for a kid that is a late talker so we are thrilled that he is finally letting us have it!

Another instance:
While changing his diaper the other day I was trying to get the little wiggle worm to stay still on the changing table so I was asking him what sound all the animals made...
"Jack, what sound does a cow make?
"Moo"

"What sound does a horsey make?"
"hehehe"

"What sound does a dog make?"
"RUFF!"

"What sound does a frog make?"
"Ribbet"

"What sound does a lion make?"
"ROARRRRRRRRRR"  (really loud!)

"What sound does little brother make?"
"Waaaa Waaaa Waaaa"

Obviously little brother cries a lot, huh?

Happy Monday!

Week In Review #4

Boy howdy.  What a week.  My sanity has been at a whopping negative ten the past few days or so.  Poor Eli is teething and having a TERRIBLE time with it.  And, Jack can only take so much screaming and crying from his little brother before HE decides that he needs to scream and cry.  Hopefully things will be better tomorrow.

I got to get out and get some fresh air tonight as I played some tennis to work off all those darn Girl Scout cookies.  Seems like I go through stages.  One night I'm really loving the Tagalongs and then bam!  the next night I need a Thin Mint fix.  My theory is that if I eat them all up in a few days then they'll be gone and won't tempt me anymore.  Hehe.  How's that?  Total solution to the problem.

I'm thinking of going to bed early tonight (shocker).  My Barnes and Noble order came in with two new selections that I'm itching to read.  I'm a bit on a Jane Austen kick right now.  So, I've been trying to get my hands on many of her books that I've never read.  So, I found this jam-packed book and knew that I had to have it.
Jane_austen
Such a cool idea to put that many books into one book until I realized that I might just have to hold the book on my nose to read the small print. :)  So, then I came across this book:
Dq
It looks like a good Southern tale and it actually takes place in a small little town by the name of Ringgold, GA which just so happens to be about 10-minutes North of where I live.  So, that's now on the night stand and I can't wait to dig into it.

Advice?  So, do any of you have advice on SLR cameras?  I'm in the market for a new one and have it narrowed down between the Canon Rebel or the Nikon (can't remember which one though).  Do you have either and what do you like/dislike about them?  Or, do you have one that isn't listed?  I'd love to hear your reviews.  By the way, Sean just came home the other day and said I've been looking at new cameras for you and I was surprised.  However, turns out that he is wanting a new flat screen for the den and I guess he was trying to make me happy before he sprung that one on me.  Ha.  Thought that was funny.  He feels bad for buying himself something so he'll feel better if he butters me up first.  Isn't that how it works?

Well, this isn't much of a week in review, but it'll have to do.  I'm worn and need to get some shut-eye.  Happy Friday everyone!  Oh, and don't forget to keep the DT applications coming my way!  I'm enjoying them!

One more thing, thanks to my Mom and Dad for helping me out today with childcare.  You two are the greatest and I appreciate your help so much!  Oh, wait there's more...congrats to little bro on passing his Dual Engine Plane certification today!  Way to go!  I'm so proud of you. :)

Design Team Question and Answer Session

I have been inundated with questions and such for the design team position(s) that I posted the other day.  If you've emailed me, please know that I'm doing my best to get caught up.  I'm so sorry that it has taken this long to get this posted, but it has been a doozy of a week.  So, here we go...

1)  Due Date for Design Team submissions
I would like to tell you that I am always on the look-out for good, raw talent.  Usually when someone inquires about DT positions I tell them to go ahead and send me their stuff and I keep it on file for 6-months.  When I do an open call like this one I like to give you at least a month to get it all together.  So, the due date for this particular call will be March 28, midnight EST.

2)   Will we have a message board on the ShelleyBelle site?
We may eventually bring back a message board once we get up and going in the near future, but for now that is on the back burning.  Once we do get a message board up again (we've had one in the past and I did not have time to maintain it) we will have a design team position available for someone to be hostess of the board and that will position will probably "pay" a bit more than a normal position.

3)  Must I have a blog?
I have never required a designer to have a blog in the past, but in this day and age with a kazillion kit clubs out there, it is imperative.  Sorry, that's a must.  I would expect your monthly layouts to be posted on your blog as well as a link to ShelleyBelle and of course, sneak peeks to your readers each month.  It doesn't have to be anything super fancy either.

4)  Where do I submit to?

Well, duh, I can't believe that I left this out of the post.  Send your submissions HERE

5)  I have submitted in the past.  Do I need to reapply?

Yes.  If you have submitted in the past it would have been for Scraps In A Box.  This call is for ShelleyBelle which is an entirely different beast. :)

6)  What are the terms for DT positions?

Terms will be granted in either 6-month or one year increments.

7)  Can I be a part of other teams while being on your team?

Sure, why not (as long as you can meet our deadlines).  I mean, I think that is great exposure for you and us if you are involved in other teams, etc..

8)  Will you seriously be entering the wholesale market?

Um, yeah!  It may take a while, but we do intend to pursue the scrapbooking wholesale market.  It is long overdue and something that we hope to happen in the very near future.

9)  Do you ever just contact people to be on the team?
Yep, I usually know what I'm looking for when I see it and I have been known to ask folks to be on the DT.  I read lot's of blogs and find lot's of leads through them.

OK, does that help?  I think that I answered the majority of questions that I've been receiving.  If not, I will email you personally.  How's that? :)

We are under tornado watches here and it's pretty yucky outside.  Hoping to scrapbook while the boy's are asleep for their afternoon nap.  We shall see.  Oh, and these are going to be the death of me.  If you are a Girl Scout and you sold me a box then I am going to hold you personally responsible for the extra pounds!  Hehe.

Have a good one!
