Good Stuff

Happy Monday!  Wow!  What a week it has been!

The new website is "viewable."  Is that a word?  It is live, but there are still many things that need to be done before it is an active website.  Links are still being connected and there are some things that you can't even get to yet.  So, please be patient with us.  It will probably take a few days to get it all going.  Plus, it is about to be time to debut the new kit so it is a crazy week to get all of this up and running.  What were we thinking!?  In the meantime, should you need anything (contact us, place orders, etc.), please email us here.    I should have new kit news tomorrow or Wednesday.  We will probably start mid-month billing and mid-month shipping this month too instead of the usual first of the month billing.  I have a great kit lined up for May...it is yummy.  Also, thanks for all of the emails about the April kit.  Seems like you guys liked that one a lot!

In our house last week we had three out of four little ears with an ear infection and one case of pink eye.  Lovely, huh?  Plus, all of this happened two days before I was to leave for the state tennis tournament.  It's always hard to leave two precious little boys for a few days anyway, much less when they are sick.  We had a decent tournament.  I won one and lost one (I hate to lose tennis matches!).  However, the girl that I lost to was really good (that soothed my ego a little bit...ha) and hit really hard.  I was winning in the beginning and then she came back and let me have it!  ;)  Oh, and I came home with a really bad dose of sun burn even after a ton of sunscreen...oh the joys of being pale!   My teammates think that I had sun poisoning, but I'm in denial about that one!

We also had two graduations last week.  Little bro and soon-to-be sis Brittany graduated from college.  Aren't they cute together?

So, now we can concentrate on their upcoming wedding (June 14).   It has just been crazy here lately!

More soon...have a super day!

If I were a cursing woman...

well, I'd certainly be doing it by now!  I had posted last week that we would be receiving the Scenic Route clear stamps for the APRIL kit last week.  Well, as is the story of my life here lately, they came TODAY instead.  Someone dropped the ball (twice in the past two months) and it has delayed our April kit greatly.  We normally like to ship at the end of the month...not the BEGINNING of the next month!  HELLO!?  So, with that said, we are packing like crazy tonight and the next day or so to get all of the kits shipped to you all.  Hopefully everyone (except APO, International, etc.) will have a kit in hand by the weekend.  Please accept our apologies.  If I had known that this were going to happen I would have substituted a product and got the kits out much quicker.  Please don't shoot the messenger.

Assisted Living Meets the Wells' Boys (and may never be the same again)

Happy Friday.

Wow.  What a week.  I'm just plain exhausted.  The new website is kicking my booty...seriously.  It's now 1:30am and little bro and I have been web-conferencing for over an hour working on it.  I am going to reward myself big time once this baby is complete.  I'm thinking maybe a new pair of shoes or something.  However, as long as it has taken us maybe I should reward myself with something even bigger than that...a car, a house.  LOL.  Kidding, honey.  Where do we stand now?  Jay is now working on our gallery where the new DT will upload their layouts.

OK, on to much more enlightening topics.  Jack has been sick this week with terrible, terrible allergies (we live in a horrible allergy valley) and with that comes breathing treatments which are ever so lovely.  Hate them.  However, I know when Jack feels crappy because he actually said, "yea!" when I got the machine out this morning knowing that it would make him feel better.  Eli had his 9-month check-up today.  It was murder.  Poor kid.  He got his finger pricked twice and they had to squeeze it to pieces to get enough blood to fill the little vial.  He was pitiful.  Cried his little heart out and mine about broke.  We love this pediatric group; especially Dr. Rifai, but I think that Eli probably wanted to just knock that smile right off his face after this appointment.  ha.

On a side note, when Sean dropped Jack off at school this morning he said that they were making Mother's Day gifts.  He wouldn't tell me what it was, but I am soooooo way excited about  it!  I really just am giddy with excitement.

After school, we had lunch with my Dad and headed to see my Grandmother in her new assisted living facility (if you've been reading you know that my family was struggling with the decision, big time).  It was a super nice place that kind of reminded me of a more than decent  hotel.  Anyway, she has this great balcony on the second floor and it had some awesome light in the afternoon.  Jack and Eli played their hearts out and I got some really cool pics.  I'll share them below, but they haven't been edited yet so they might not look so hot.  I was so proud of them as they  behaved perfectly!  Some points worth mentioning that might be found amusing: Jack thought it was cool to check out Grandma's bathroom while she was "using" it, he left her a row of Matchbox cars by her sink to enjoy while she washed her hands, actually *thought* about pushing his cars off of the balcony just to see if Pappy would retrieve them from the bushes below (I have to admit that I was secretly hoping for this one because it would have made for a fabulous blog moment).  He took the rocker cushions and played "tent" with my Dad.  He thought that was cool.  ;)  Wondering if it might be nice to do some type of little scrapbook project with the residents where everything was pre-cut and ready to adhere into a little album.  Might be kind of fun and would probably make my Grandmother proud, huh?  Plus, it might be good to coax her out of her room and socialize with the other folks.  Anyway, long day and a long night to come, but I've got dark chocolate beside me so I should be good to go for a while (well, Starbuck's would be better, huh?).

Enjoy the pics and have a super weekend!  Oh, and if you happen to see Eli wearing all sorts of different hats in upcoming posts it is because his Big Bro is going through a hat fetish and putting them on him (including the visor below...hilarious!).

Very Important Kit Update

I am here.  It has been a long week coming home from vacation (and two root canals!) and only to find out that our last product for the kit this month has been delayed at the manufacturer (again!).  So, today I had to make an executive decision for all of us.  The one product that is missing are the Scenic Route BRAND NEW Flourish clear acrylic stamps that are in the main kit.  So, I received this email from my Scenic Route rep today:

"We just heard back from our manufacturer about an hour ago.  The stamps
will be in our hands Tuesday the 29th.  If you are still "a go" - I have
discussed this with Ms. L (head hocho) already and the warehouse is aware of this as
well - that when the stamps come in, we will package yours first and send
them out 2nd day because you need to get them out as well.  The good news
is that you're giving your customers not only a product that is new, but
is also hot."

OK, so I hope that you all understand that I just had to say "YES!  Send them!"  On the down side, the kits will be delayed until the very end of the month.  We normally ship at the end of the month, but this is really the end of the month!  I hope that you are not disappointed, but I do try to maintain new and exciting things in our kits and this is the problem that you run into at times.  If you do not wish to wait on this shipment then please email me and I'll substitute something of the same value (but you won't get the really stinkin' cute stamps though!).  LOL.
Thanks for hanging with us.

Also, I've got some great DT news to share.  I may have to go back and look at the posts again from the "Where is Michelle" video, but I think that Becky P. won.  I was indeed at the Gaylord in Nashville hanging out with a ton of scrapbookers and catching up with lot's of old friend's in the industry.  Becky, we'll add something special to your kit this month. :)

Happy Friday!

Hi.

Okay, GO!  (There might be something free involved here...hint, hint)

Double points for naming this person. ;)

Dear Accountant...

I know that I have done a bad thing, but you do know how much I truly love the 7 Gypsies line of products, don't you?  Yes, I know, I went a bit overboard this month, but I love my customer's and so, well, I felt like they needed this.  I didn't do it for me (although I had best get a kit this month!).  I did it for them. ;)  See how easy it is for me to justify buying all that darn newly released scrapbook stuff?  Hehe.  And, yes, I will be writing the same letter next month as I have come undone.  Stop me now!  OK, wait, don't stop me...I like having all the new stuff...

So, without further apology here are the contents of the April Main kit:
April_kit_contents_copy
So, let me know how I did...

Also, here is the Add-On for this month:
(both are included in the add-on)
Ovalstamp
PLUS...
8inchalbum
The chipboard album is 8"x 8."
PLUS...
Three more of the K & Co. ornate tags included in this month's kit.
If you are interested in the Add-On then please email here as it is not on the site yet.  Cost for this kit is $18.50.

OK, well, Sean is trying to go to sleep and can't because my mouse is clicking so loud...whine, whine, whine....oh, and he just said that I type too loud, too.  MAKES ME WANT TO TYPE EVEN LOUDER JUST TO ANNOY HIM.  LOL.  I mean, come on, he does have a job to go to tomorrow, right.  Me...well, obviously I just sit at home with two little kiddos and eat bon-bons.  Ha.

Happy Tuesday!

Congrats Sue B!

You were the first to post this:

Could it be 7 Gypsies Notting Hill?

I have my fingers and toes crossed.

Sue B.

You give great clues and it helps to be a J. Roberts fan  :)

Congrats, Sue B!  You'll have something fun added to your kit this month!
Happy Sunday!

EDITED (Again!): What's your guess?

**SECOND EDIT (LOL):

Here's another hint:

J. Roberts starred in a movie that took place in the country of England...figure that out and you've got it!!!  Easy breezy!  If no winner by 6pm tomorrow (EST) then I'll just come up with a new contest!  Hehe.  Oh, and just a bit of useless trivia...J. Roberts is actually from my home state of GA.  Oh, yeah, and the line that you are trying to figure out is brand spankin' new.  I really wanna give something away!

**EDITED:  First two comments=no, try again.  LOL.  You might have to dig a little for this one.

So, the April goodies are soon to arrive and I thought that it would be fun to do a bit of a contest to discover what line we are using this month...
Today's hint: J. Roberts
Now, you didn't think that I would just give it to you, did you?
OK, ready, set.....GO!  First one to post the correct answer wins something.

Attn: cindym...did u get your goodies in the mail?

Ta ta...off to play tennis if the rain holds off!

Very Quick March Kit Add-On!!!!!!

OK, folks.  Here's the deal.  I've been doing Spring cleaning and I am replenishing my class kits (the supplies that we use in classes to teach) for next year.  In other words, all of the stuff in there now (stamps, ink pads, etc.) will be replaced with newer items.  Sooooo, I've got several class kits that are looking for good homes.  I will pass them along to you for $7.50 each if you want your hands on one.  They will include at least two wooden stamps (one is a row of tags and the other is a diamond pattern), ink pads and more.  All are used so don't be expecting a dazzling new something.  However, all are in very good shape and just need a good cleaning.  My student's are usually pretty good with the supplies that we have for them to use.  If you are interested, please email us ASAP as we can include these in with your March shipment if you so desire.  The shipments will all be out of the building by Friday afternoon.

Also, I hope to announce the first of our Design Team winners tonight after I get all of her information. :)

March Kit Pictures :)

So, it has been a long month as far as waiting on kit supplies!  Holy moly.  I HATE it when orders get messed up and the delay that it causes us and you, our customer.  I certainly hope that the kit is worth the wait!  The papers are perfect for Spring.  I think that there is something for everyone in this kit as the papers have totally different opposite sides.  So, if you don't like the floral on one side, you may love the polka dots or stripes on the other!  I actually got motivated to scrapbook last night and hope to get some stuff going tonight.  By the way, if you sent an email to reserve any of this month's kits then you should have received an email back with a link for payment.  We will hold kits for five days and then open them to the general public.  The March Add-On kit (oh, my) has been a HUGE success.  I found out from Scenic Route yesterday that we are getting the last of the Office acrylic stamps until they restock in a few weeks or so.  Sooooo, if you are sitting on the fence about this one I have one remaining in stock (unless some reserved ones do not get purchased).

Also, before I share the kit pictures, I have already chosen one new Design Team member.  I'll let you know who once I contact her!  So, happy Friday and hope you all have a wonderful Easter weekend.  Our weekend is filled with three birthday parties, two Easter dinners, church, egg hunt, egg dying...jam packed!   Hope the Easter bunny finds his way to your house!
